After nearly two full days in Intensive Care, William was ready to be transferred to the Prediatric Hematology/Oncology unit on the 11th floor of Galisano Children's Hospital.
Right away, our new home on the HEMOG floor was welcoming. Everyone there seemed to have a much different perspective - the nurses were wonderfully welcoming, gentle in the mannerisms with William, they offered some very appreciated perks, like a daily parking pass and had a few welcoming touches waiting for us (even real tissues - not those 4" squares of sand paper!).
