November 3rd
After getting rather sick with rice cereal, repeated findings of blood in his stool and breaking out in hives from a wheat teething biscuit and Colic Ease (yes, Mommy's last ditch effort to try to find a solution) and weeks of terrible poop explosions and severe gasiness, William finally made it to a pediatric gastroenterologist, Dr. Bhole. We spent and overwhelming 2 and 1/2 hours at the appointment and were filled with many answers to lead us on a hopefully smoother road.
William is suspected to have a number of food allergies, including that of milk protein, soy and egg. At his young age, blood tests are not reliable and will not be considered until he is over 6 months old. Presently, he is currently exclusively nursed. Mommy has been milk-free for nearly 3 weeks, however now soy and egg-free needs to be added (and for those who do not look at ingredient labels - that leaves you with next to nothing). William will need to transition to a special formula called Elecare.
Although nights are really rough around here now, thankfully this all does not seem to be impacting our muffin man's growth in any way! At over 20.5 pounds and 28" long, he's one growing boy!

Oh I'm so sorry to hear of these troubles! Food allergies, especially to those that William seems to have, are so difficult. My thoughts are with you as you modify your diet for your not-so-little guy!!!
