Blasting Off to 3!

Nicholas was one ecstatic boy when he saw his space shuttle cake! All day long, he kept checking on it and talking on and on about the shuttle, the rocket boosters, where he wanted the three candles and so on.

Mommy and Grammy decorated it the night before.

Dillon made the trip here for the big bash! He was also an astronaut for Halloween so he came decked out in his costume too!

The birthday boy kept escaping over to the present corner. One in particular really caught his attention...

Not only was this gift so intriguing, but it also had a tube of astronauts and space shuttles attached. Throughout the evening, Nicholas kept sneaking items from the tube and adding to his cake. He had a whole fleet of astronauts on the cake in the end.

Whenever he could, Nicholas would grab someone and show them his cake. This time it was Aunt Angie's turn for him to tell her all about his cake -and the extra figurines!

The kiddos went on a hunt for moon rocks and did a moon rock relay.

Nicholas was so thrilled everyone serenaded him with the birthday song, he didn't even realize big cousin Dillon blew out his candles before he had the chance to. A quick do-over made it all better!

I really think Nicholas had a blast at his party. Thanks Grammy for all the help in pulling this off - it sure made one boy happy!
