Trick-or-Treating...and so much more!

Gammy & Poppy came to celebrate Halloween with us. Gammy brought Nicholas a plate of her famous cookies...

which he promptly yummed up!
They also brought him a goodie bag, but they really could have stopped at the light up pumpkin wand - he thought that was the best!
Finally, it was time to get into costume. Mommy was nearly peeing her pants, meanwhile, Nicholas looks a little scared. Why?
Oh Daddy!
Ya see, last year Daddy said he wanted to dress up with Nicholas. This year, it was perfect for Daddy to be Curious Nicholas' best friend, The Man with the Yellow Hat. Little did Daddy know Mommy was actually going to pull off making the costume. Let's say he was a little shocked when he came home and saw it waiting for him.
Nicholas was definitely a little nervous about Daddy's new look, but he got over it quickly.
"I'm ready! Let's go get this candy you've been promising!"
A quick picture before we head out.
(thankfully there's no female character in Curious George for Mommy)
Nicholas wasn't too sure what this trick-or-treating thing was all out at our first stop.
Bu after getting a handful of goodies, he was pretty excited to hit the next house!
He especially loved it when he had to ring a doorbell - you know him and buttons!
"Okay lady, I know I'm cute and all, but you're just holding me up!"
"This is more like it, Daddy!"
(notice the nearly dragging bag!)
Nicholas really impressed us with walking up to every house on our circle. Some people even gave him extra treats for little tricks he did for them. It was so much fun! Since Nicholas wouldn't let go of his 5 pound bag of candy, he was getting a little heavy. We grabbed the stroller for our trek to some friend's houses off our street.
Some friends thought Fred had lost a bet and his costume was punishment - as if they haven't seen the show!
Nicholas just loves spooky music. He was cracking everyone up with his dancing "show" on the porch.
Bust a move, monkey!
He even added a couple new moves that night, but for the most part, his dancing is still a cute march.

checking out his loot to choose yet another piece of candy
Well after 9:00 and this little one was still going strong.
finally out of costume
This picture says it all....
notice Poppy asleep on the floor and Mommy holding up her head!
Even after we got him in bed, Nicholas was still so excited from the night. He was awake well after 10:30 - just happy as can be.
What a great 2nd Halloween - thanks for joining us Gammy & Poppy!
