A Jump Start on the Birthday Celebrations

Since Daddy had to work and have night class on Nicholas' birthday, we got a jump start on the big celebrations and went to the Museum of Play.
This is truly my son.
He was just fascinated with the light mixer board at the kiddie stage.

It wouldn't be a trip to the Museum without a lot of shopping at Wegmans.

He was sure to get a nice pumpkin - and even went to weight it.
(He's always dying to get his hot fingers on the real scale at Wegmans.)

Bring me those groceries!

You could tell Nicholas was getting a bit tired, so he took a little rest at the theater to catch some Elmo's World.

We couldn't wait to get to the new Curious George display.
Nicholas played some put-put with Daddy.
We also practiced some dental hygiene skills at the giant mouth. Let's hope Nicholas has no plans of becoming a dentist.

Spinning the airplane wheel.
The highlight of our trip was Nicholas playing with this mechanical xylophone. He loved tossing up the wooden balls and turning the wheel to advance them on the keys.
What a fun family day we had!
