"Finally, Olivia is back from her vacation!!! I had her over this afternoon for a cool-down in my pool."
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

What...A Babysitter??!!??
This afternoon, Nicholas & Mommy went to interview a babysitter. Although she was very nice, Nicholas thought he needed to get involved in this decision...
What's Going On Out There???
After being very scared through breakfast & playtime, Nicholas finally got a little used to all the noise from the roofers. He really liked checking out all the sweaty young guys working outside (oh, maybe that was Mommy!).

Up WAAAAAAY Past My Bedtime!!!
Last year when I was kicking away in Mommy's belly at the Harborfest fireworks, Mommy asked Daddy, "Do you think we'll be able to come to the fireworks next year with the baby?" Well, we found a way to pull it off - and it was an absolute blast! We all went out on Grandma & Grandpa's boat and had the best seat in town for the big show.
I even got to wear Daddy's ear protectors AND tolerated keeping them on!
Nicholas' bald head sure makes quite the glare!!!! Thank goodness the 'No Drinking & Boating Rule' doesn't include my yummy babas. I got to play with Aunt Anne too! After the show and snooping around along the rivers edge at all the partying, I could finally call it a night and fell asleep on Grandma for the drive back to the launch. Oh what a night!!!
Happy Birthday Tim

A Boy Who Knows What He Wants
Yesterday, Nicholas started to show us exactly what he wants at mealtime. I just love how he looks back and forth before making his selection and then checks his tray to make sure he already doesn't have cereal.

Congratulations Adina!
Saturday we went to God Mother Rosanne's niece's graduation party. Nicholas went in a giant bouncy house with Daddy and jumped like crazy - more like until Daddy was worn out!
"This is fun Mommy, come on in!"
"That was the BEST!"
Mommy and Nicholas take a breather on the Twister Mat.
"Ahh, this is the life!"
It wouldn't be a Parolin Party without a little air guitar. Thanks for the lesson John!
"Hey John, when can I start lessons at your studio? I'll put new batteries in my Elmo guitar!"

I Need A Better Angle Here
Nicholas shocked us tonight when he stood up from his chair to stand at his learning table - all by himself!

One Hungry Boy
Nicholas was very excited to see Daddy arrive home tonight. We were missing his antics at the dinner table.

I Get To Be A Little Cranky - LOOK What's Going On!
"I just wasn't myself today at cousin Max's Baptism- not interested in eating, pretty grumpy and very clingy (okay, so I'm ALWAYS clingy). Can you believe it took Mommy and Daddy until dinner time to notice my teethers coming in!"

Christmas In July?
When everyone was surely sleeping at 6:50 this morning, Nicholas was helping Mommy do the dishes. At least these bubbles were "saved" from his mouth!
Another New Piece of Furniture for Nicholas???
"This chair is the best Mommy!!!"
"Now where's the remote control - I think I have a new episode of Sesame Street waiting for me."
Nicholas had us in stitches with his knee slapping - did you catch it on the second video? We made many attempts to get him to do it after Daddy told him a joke - but it just didn't happen today. We'll keep trying - maybe our jokes just weren't funny enough for him!

On the Move
Nicholas was all around the family room floor this morning - rolling and beginning to creep. He finally came to a stop around his Jumperoo - where Mommy was able to capture the moment.

So Long Uncle Don...
"After a very sad farewell to Great Uncle Scorch, us boys had some fun playtime at Grandma & Grandpa's."
Dillon sure was happy he got Nicholas' favorite frog."Meanwhile, I kept spinning Old MacDonald on the silo for everyone's enjoyment.""It's been a long day Mommy... I really don't want to show-off my tricks for Aunt Angie right now. Can't I just hang out with a little music going."
"Ah ha - I got the frog from Dillon!"
Instead of posing for a picture with Nicholas, Dillon went exploring and found Grandma's garden sign.
"He promptly brought it over to our picture site and whacked me over the head with the darn thing! Mommy, stop taking my pictures and give me feel-better kisses!!!" With babies safely in Grandma & Grandpa's hands, Mommy & Aunt Angela went for a spin on Mommy's old motorcycle! Now there's 2 responsible Mamas - no helmets, no insurance, unregistered vehicle - but it sure was worth all the risk - we haven't laughed that hard in a LLLLLLONG time!
