Road Trip with 4

September 25-27

We couldn't wait any longer to meet our newest member of the family...and so we ventured for our first long trip to MA as a family of 4. In an attempt for some peace during the trip, we left around 7:45pm. William fell asleep shortly after, but Nicholas stayed awake until 11:45! Daddy was sure he would get bored and fall asleep, but after 2 hours of non-stop talking, I insisted we pull out the portable DVD player. An hour and a half of Curious George later and another half hour of talking, the boy finally gave in to sleep!

The trip was well worth the effort to meet Evelyn. She is just precious.

We soon realized we were in a bit of a pickle without a working swing for William (yes, he still naps in the swing!). Thankfully we tied a ribbon on the the swing and were able to keep our buddy somewhat happy.

Dillon especially loved this special assignment.

Nicholas had spotted the kayak in the wee hours of our arrival. Playing with it on land kept them plenty entertained.

One happy boy!

The 3 Boy Cousins

Dillon just adores William. He's so happy he gets to hold him now.

William checked out all the pink toys

(those velcro butterflies stood no chance with this bruit around!)

We took a nice walk to the local beach...

one baby asleep

and one taking it all in.

Dillon got to work filling his "rivers"

while Nicholas got busy making a HUGE mess of himself!

These two cousins are 3 months and 3 days apart.

An especially fun tummy time for William.

Dillon is such a good helper. He was going to give Will that pacifier whether he wanted it or not.

Before embarking on the journey home, we hit the town carnival. The boys had a blast bouncing...

and landing in the ball pit - from where they had to be physically removed time and time again.

Aunt Angela thinks William is too big for the Peanut sling - but I say he just likes to be cozy.

What a better way to end a fun trip than with ice cream!
