A couple weeks ago, Nicholas started to get really pushy with insisting that he hang out at the open door when we let Zoey in and out (a million times a day, none the less). He loves to play with the snow on the steps and his favorite, to yell out (which comes out as a bunch of babbling - but obviously he has something worthwhile to say!).
Check out the position he assumes in the doorway - notice the curcled toes (AKA, the Doorstop By Nicholas).

Finally, I gave in and brought in a bowl of snow for him (so we could finally close the door!).

He treated it like some treasure - carrying this booty to a safe location to investigate it further...

...like to the safety of the couch, of course.

"Gee, when I bring snow into the house, I just get yelled at!"

The two made up a little game of their own - Nicholas throws, Zoey eats!
(notice the red hands here)

"Hey, that was fun! We'll have to do it again when Zoey goes out in a couple hours."

"Oh,
please Mommy!"
