A Sticky Stinker

Today was the neighborhood's annual Halloween Parade & Party...which means costume attempt #1! We usually need to bundle up under costumes, but with the beautiful weather today, I went topless!
I got to crawl around and hunt for treasures.

And gave Daddy a workout with walking all around!

The best part was having my first sucker! As you can see, I knew exactly what to do with it - and boy was I a sticky stinker after that!

Daddy, we really need a pony!

"Ava had a great birthday party this weekend- with pony rides too! This was my first ride on an animal - and I loved it!"
"I knew just how to ride and hold on.
Ya know, riding a pony takes lots of concentration - as you can see in my expression."

Happy Birthday Ava!!! We hope you enjoyed your big day!

And thanks to Sarah & Margaret for the pictures of this fun time!

Playing Hookie

"My new teeth are driving me nuts today - so we skipped swim lessons and substituted the pool for my tub filled extra high! It was way better than the Y!"

Grandpa, the Babysitter

Tonight Mommy & Daddy had a date night for a special showing at the IMAX Theater. Nicholas waited patiently for Grandpa to come play with him (if that's what you would call banging the door and grunting!).
He also managed to grab a phone from the end table and get it over to the door - as if needing to call Grandpa!
Apparently they had so much fun together, Nicholas refused to go to bed on time and was still awake when we got home at 9.
Somebody has Grandpa wrapped around his little finger!

The Great Outdoors

Yesterday we spent nearly 2 hours enjoying the outdoors. Nicholas stayed entertained forever playing with the latest tomato harvest when I pruned landscaping and pulled out the garden remains.
Ahhh, garden tools - these look fun!
Someone found a new love for getting dirty...
and chased Zoey around the yard with his shovel.
The king of the castle!

SO BIG!

Nicholas was full of giggles last night. He even decided to combine 2 tricks into one - check it out!

Hitting the Gym

We joined our Mom's Group friends at My Gym! Nicholas loved the railed stairs (perhaps because the stairs are off-limits at home).
On his escape to visit Amy & Jake, Nicholas was captured by the goofy instructor and used as demonstration for the exercises and stretches.
The dolphin swing was the best!
After all that fun (and missing his afternoon nap), Nicholas crashed on the way home.
(This cat nap proved to be our demise - he's still up now at 9 pm!)

Faux Fur, Of Course

With this weekend's cold snap, we needed to try on Nicholas' winter coat.
It's a bit big on him...
and he'll have to get used to the tickling from the fur trim.

Congrats Jodi & Rob!

It's done...they're hitched.
Thankfully, the pastor accepted their "I do's" between all the giggles!

Ayla was a beautiful flower girl and made it down the aisle with her dress on!

The limo was a blast...and I learned just how delicate my tolerance is now!

Jodi was lucky she had so many layers on...I, on the other hand, froze at the park.

Rob stayed calm the entire night.

Fred snuck-in at the head table with us for a drink or two, or three.

Congrats guys - you did it! Now, when shall we expect the baby???

Don't Take My Toys!

"Mommy has had the cleaning itch lately...and is even putting away some of my toys! I overheard her talking to Daddy asking him to make room in the basement for my saucer. I've been trying to look interested in it ever since!"
How did I do here - too cute for her to take away, right?!?"

Horses Galore

"We met Daddy at the mall for lunch. I love to watch the carousel go 'round...and today was finally my lucky day to go on it for the first time!"

"I waved to everybody!"

It was a lot of fun!

"We went to B'ville for dinner with Grandma later. Can you believe this same horse was the one my Mommy used to ride on at the old dime store Ticombs! It still only costs 10 cents for a ride - but this one was a little more scary to me. Sorry Mommy and Daddy, you will have to pay the full $1 for my preference at the mall! "

Add 2 New Foods to My Repitoire...

"Yesterday I explored my Polish roots and tried pierogie (that was okay), but Mommy gave me a real winner tonight...corn that I got to feed myself!

Yummy!

Looking for Daddy

When Daddy was out mowing, Nicholas was very upset he was left inside. He got himself behind the sheers all by himself and was trying his best to get Daddy's attention.
"When will I be old enough to help?"

If only Nicholas has half as much fun at his own party...

Today we celebrated Nicholas' future girlfriend Emilee's 2nd birthday (yes, an older woman!). Nicholas loved her coupe!
Crazy driver coming through!
"Beep Beep!"
"Like my wheels?"
Even her pretty birthday dress couldn't stop Emilee from pushing Nicholas around the yard.
Nicholas couldn't get enough of the special guest...
ELMO!!!
Nicholas was so excited for Elmo - it was hard to keep him in our arms!
Claps for Elmo and a great party!

New Favorites: Pancakes & A Duster

"At Stella's, I got my own meal - this huge pancake!
At first, I had to think whether I liked it..."
"Well, that didn't take long!
Yeah baby - this is delicious!!!"
"Later we went shopping and Mommy got a new long-handled feather duster. I loved playing with it all over the store, even threw a tantrum when I had to give it up to scan it and couldn't wait to tote it around at home.
Forget going to bed, this duster is too much fun!"
"Come on duster, let's go get Daddy's toes...or better yet, let's go torment Zoey!"

The 11-Month-Old King of Pumpkins!

"I had a great time picking apples and playing with the pumpkins with my buddies from the Mommy's group."

Counting Down With Jodi

Nicholas loved hanging out with Future Flower Girl Ayla at New York Bride. She fed him lots of yummy treats as Mommy learned how to get Jodi into her dress for the 'big day' next weekend!

Mr. Cooperative

Nicholas was the best baby today! He was a patient sport at Mommy's (lengthy) appointment and then kept himself entertained while we waited for the car to be repaired. We enjoyed a great construction demonstration on Circle Drive. Even without a nap and being on the go ALL afternoon, Nicholas found it in himself to give the construction guys some claps.
