Happy Dadee's Day!

father & son
Nicholas just cracks us up at times, and today was no exception. When we were all in bed this morning reading the paper and singing along to Sesame Street, Nicholas picked up the front section of the paper, pointed to the owl and said "owl" - clear as a bell. Daddy is still trying to figure out how he knows what an owl is (maybe he needs to catch-up on his reading of "Happy Baby ABC"). Nicholas then enjoyed looking at the sale flyers, naming everything from juice to tomatoes to chairs and drooled over his favorite section - the birth announcements.
When we came down stairs, he quickly noticed Daddy's wholesale-sized container of roasted peanuts and insisted on an 8am snack of nuts. It's amazing how he knew what was in that container, since he's never seen it before and our typical nut contains look much different. I added a few to his snack cup and this is the response I got...

he ever-so diligently took out every piece of breakfast snack mix and placed it oh so carefully on the floor.
Where does he come up with this stuff?

We couldn't come up with better material if we tried!
