Morning at Willow Bay

Tuesday morning was perfect to spend at Willow Bay with Dillon and Aunt Angela. The boys hung out at the swings the majority of the time at the playground - go figure!

William seemed to love the great outdoors, with his eyes closed, as usual.

Despite our wishes, the boys were in heaven tossing 'treasures' into the lake.

~ enjoying the view ~

Of course, a little game of chicken boom boom down the twisty slide was a highlight.

We all took a walk along the path to echo under the bridges...what a fun morning!

Hungry?

Happy Father's Day!

Daddy celebrated Father's Day with being the #1 impressive Dad! He woke up bright and early with Nicholas and let Mommy and William sleep in (gosh, why couldn't every day be Father's Day!).

In the afternoon, we went to Grammy and Poppie's house to welcome Aunt Angela, Uncle Jim and Dillon to town. Uncle Jim met his newest nephew, who took quite the liking to him as well.

Nicholas gave Poppie a fishing care package, including gummy fish and a Nicholas-sized fishing pole. The boys had a blast practicing their technique in Grammy's pond (poor goldfish!).

Nice form, Nicholas!

Happy Father's Day, our Dadoo of two!

We love you!

Family Movie Night

A rainy evening is perfect for family movie night. Daddy and Nicholas popped up some Jiffy Pop.

Nice technique, Dadoo!

Nicholas had the popcorn bowl ready & waiting!

Yup, the popcorn turned out to be dinner!

Reunited with Timmy's

We finally made it back to Timmy's for our weekend treat!
Nicholas was quick to pick the new Breast Cancer donut.

Gotta love his approach!

The Gold Park

Feeling brave after a successful outing, we ventured to a different playground. Nicholas loves the long ramps and ran laps...

...literally!

With scattered showers that morning, Mommy was so proud she thought to bring a towel to wipe off the equipment - but unfortunately Nicholas beat me to the punch. With soaked pants, he begged another mother at the park "change my wet pants - they are too heavy!"

Nice Lips, Baby!

I may not have a daughter, but sure have a boy who loves lipstick!

Stretch!

First Tummy Time

This isn't so bad!

First Solo Outting with 2

After days of beautiful sunshine, the thought of being stuck in the house all day due to rain made this Mommy decide we needed to venture out for our first solo adventure. We packed up...

and went for a fieldtrip to Daddy's office! Nicholas always loves the elevator there...

and playing with all the techy gizmos at Daddy's desk!

The good news is, Daddy's boss Sam said we can come back for weekly field trips, since they have so much extra office space to run around in! See you soon - Sam, Wendy, Nagesh and "Robin's fan."

The Sock Patrol

Interesting Fact About Nicholas Relyea:
He has some pretty firm foot preferences:
* insists on wearing socks to bed
* refuses to wear thong sandals
* has a tendency to check other people's socks in search of holes
* has a special liking for baby's feet
If you are found by this inspector to have a hole in your sock, prepare to turn it over to him for immediate disposal!
Busted: Daddy's black sock!

Hey, where are your socks, baby William!

Lunch Adventure

Another perfect day to spend outdoors!

Dip dip in the tub

What a face!

William really likes to stretch his legs out in the tub. He seems to enjoy the water.

William's first playtime!

Look who tried out the playmat today!
It's amazing how much William has changed in the past 3 weeks. He is now ready to check out his world, is holding his head up for longer intervals and attempting to seek out the source of sounds. He's beginning to wave his arms at the hanging toys on his bouncy seat and the playmat.

All that playing sure tired him out!

6.16.09

Day in the Sun!

6.16.09

We've taken full advantage of these beautiful spring days!

Nicholas was so excited to have his water table back in action.

William soaked up some rays (filtered) too!

Gardener Nicholas spotted a bunch of strawberries ready for picking...

and came up with the idea to wash them in his water table (a pretty creative solution, I thought).

Nice try, buddy.

Gosh, if only every day could go so smoothly!

Silly Sleepers

The boy who insisted on wearing his "work goggles" to bed....

and the baby boy who sleeps in a basket.

Happy Birthday Grammy!

To prepare for Grammy's 53rd birthday, Nicholas assisted in the kitchen to bake a chocolate Dr. Pepper cake.

As always, there were plenty of taste testing experiences - even into the flour and cocoa powder mixture - yuck!

The new moustache look!

The mixer is his absolute favorite - he calls it the "frosting maker."

It was such a gorgeous evening, we headed out for a walk - even William.

Nicholas got Poppie to play along with his construction obsession...

Little did we know Nicholas considered Grammy's cake a hazard area.

Still counting those candles for Grammy.

The two guests of honor.
Ta daa! Now how does that song go?

Poppie got some cuddle time with William when Grammy had to make her wish.

Happy Birthday Grammy - we're so happy we were able to celebrate your special day with you. Thanks for coming over!
