Later he helped Poppie prep the fire pit (which he's brought up many times, since we ran out of time to make smores. We will definitely need one last camp trip this season!).

Poopy Prize

In addition to 2 poop explosion by William and multiple pee breaks for Nicholas on the travel potty seat, Mr. Nicholas decided he would make his first poop on the potty (since Mother's Day)while on the boat. Needless to say, I didn't have a special poopy prize available, but he had just admired the soda machine at the marina...so that's were we headed!

Boat Trip with the Grandparents!

Mommy and the boys had the most wonderful day out on Grammy & Poppie's boat! Nicholas had been looking forward to this trip since his last boating experience. He slapped on his life vets like a champ and was ready to drive with Poppie!

William slept through the launch and half the ride to Cross Lake. Thankfully when he woke, he was okay with the whole boating experience.

What a picture perfect day to spend on the water!

Once at Cross Lake, the boys pulled out Nicholas' beginner fishing pole and caught 2 fish on their first two casts! That little pole sure has been bent like crazy and has turned into one lucky pole!

Nicholas knew right where to go for the fish net. He loves to play with all the doors and boating gadgets (surprise anyone?)

Ewww! A giant catfish! Nicholas had the right idea to tell Poppie to throw it back in the water!

Poppie is so patient with Nicholas, teaching himso many cool things.

Just like his big brother, William is not a baby who will just fall asleep anywhere. It usually takes a fair share of the rock/bounce/sway technique to get this guy to nod off. I don't know what we'll do when he outgrows the sling...

Grammy-Boater-Safety was worried the whole time with William not wearing a vest. I warned her he would no be happy, considering the chubber doesn't have a neck for this vest to fit in!

Poor William!

Getting A Jump on Daddy's Birthday!

Friday we took a field trip to Daddy's office to celebrate his upcoming birthday! Nicholas was a big helper carrying the party supplies in his backpack. He's been obsessed with it and has even insisted on sleeping with the thing. Hopefully its a good sign he will be excited to take it to school with him next week!

Hitting The Fair!

Ever since we told Nicholas we were going to the fair, he was SO excited! He woke up at 6:30 raring to go! He was telling us he wanted to go on the roller coaster...

but as we were on the foot bridge, he spotted the ferris wheel and never stopped talking about it.

For the first time, I think the butter sculpture made an impact on him, especially since he's all about asking "how" and "why" to everything these days.

Wouldn't be the fair without fresh chocolate milk!

Considering William is still so young, he was absolutely wonderful the entire day. He seemed a bit nervous in the stroller in the crowds, but loved time in the carriers, as he always does.

Our first "meal" - Belgian fries (Daddy was attracted to the double fried feature), a fried pickle and kettle corn for the little one.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our share of fair food! Nicholas got an ice cream cone (and wore half of it), Daddy got me to try fried alligator and speedie kangaroo with him...and the fried pickle was actually quite good! A kind woman also shared her fried peanut butter & jelly with us - which was fabulous! Of course, there were also our must-haves of Daddy's $10 cheese steak sandwich and fried dough for me!

Off to the Midway!

Nicholas checked out a bunch of kiddie rides, but kept asking about the ferris wheel. We thought he'd be a shue-in for the airplanes, once we knew he was tall enough.

"No planes, I want the ferris wheel!"

That giant wheel was left for Daddy - this Mommy doesn't do heights! This boy just loved it (that is until it was over!)

There were plenty of animals to see (and smell).

Considering we had a nursing 3 month old and a newly potty-trained toddler, we sure had a successful day!
