Does This Place Look Familiar?

Today seemed like a day of failed attempts. First thing this morning - we went for a walk - but it was too hot, so we came home early. Then an insurance hassle at Wegman's in our attempt for baby vitamins. In the afternoon, Nicholas was fast asleep by the time we got to Manlius for our Mom's Group picnic. But we kept our hopes up to end the day with a delicious gyro at the Greek Fest. Daddy was all excited as we approached the Festival - expecting that since we were arriving before Nicholas' "witching hour" we'd get a great parking spot. To our surprise - the Festival doesn't start until NEXT weekend!!! So, we decided to hit Varsity's for pizza.

Daddy explained to Nicholas that this is the same spot we ate at when he was just 5 days old (not to mention all those dinners at Varsity's before going to our Birth Classes around the corner).

Boy Nicholas, you sure have grown since November!
Despite the difficulties of the day, it was all well worth it to watch Nicholas enjoy checking-out the hustle & bustle up at the Hill. He's already a great people-watcher!

Munchkin Tries A Munchkin!

Nicholas tried out his Munchkin basket for the first time - with an apple. That kept him busy for a while yesterday! Stay tuned tomorrow when we go for bananas in the basket!

Parkway Buddies

It was a beautiful day for a nice long walk at the Parkway.

Liam shows off his water bottle to Nicholas.

"Humm...what do they have interesting over here? Those pop beads look like fun! I'd love to get my hands on them! Oh, and there's Ava- boy did I miss her while she was away touring Europe."
"Hey Ayden, can you pass me some of those toys.

Playing in the Sunshine

We had a beautiful Memorial Day - starting with a long neighborhood walk, followed by outside playtime and ending with dinner at Grandma & Grandpa's with Great Papa, Aunt Elaine and Uncle John.

"This is nice being outside. I'm getting extra sitting practice with all this wind blowing! It never knocked me down!"

"Today we finally caught-up on my RSVP's. Can you believe I've been invited to 2 birthday parties and cousin Dillon's Baptism! Mommy thought the invitations were adorable - but I'm still raving about how delicious and fun to play with they were!"

Nicholas surprised himself when he finally got all the ring off his stacker...all on his own! He was very proud - as I am too!

Too Cool For These Shades!

At our Saturday adventure to the Farmer's Market, we couldn't keep anything on Nicholas today! Hats were off in seconds and his shades were more of a teether than sun protection.

I'm getting pretty good at opening gifts. This one has been waiting for me since my half-birthday party!

Future Best Friends?

Nicholas has been fascinated by Zoey lately. Anytime she makes the smallest of noise, he HAS to find her.

On the other hand, Zoey still sniffs Nicholas whenever we return home and finishes with a huff - as if saying "Oh man, they brought him back!"

Maybe This Bib Will Work Better!

"I've become such a messy eater that Mommy pulled out a super-duper bib today. It was practically as big as me! I loved sucking on the edge - it was much better than the apples!"

Movie Time!

"Today I watched my first DVD -Baby Einstein's Old MacDonald's Farm! I just loved bouncing to the music and all the silly animal noises. Now if only I can talk Daddy into playing it on the big screen in the theater for me! That would be the life!!! "
