Our Little Swimmer

Nicholas had his first swim lesson today at the YMCA.

He was all excited to show-off his new swim trunks!

Nicholas did the Hokey Pokey (of course getting his left and rights straight), Wheels On the Bus and practiced some kicking. He was able kick his feet a little when floating on his back. His favorite part of the lesson was bouncing in and out of the water. He didn't like it too much when the woman in the lap lane next to us splashed him.

Sunday Experiences

"Mommy pulled out a new concoction today - oatmeal cereal! Can you tell it's not my thing either. When is she going to give me the good stuff..."

"I got to see the neighborhood from a whole new view...front facing in my Cadillac!"

Nicholas & Daddy: The Bunny Savers

"Today we drove to Hannibal to drop off the 5 baby bunnies to a wildlife refugee. I tried my best to get Mommy and Daddy to keep them as my pet, but they both agreed that I'm still WAY too much work for them to handle with another pet (and we all know sister Zoey would be too jealous)."



"I also had my first visit to Rudy's."


"I really could have gone for some of their famous hot sauce, but instead I enjoyed stuffing Mommy's napkin in my mouth. Rudy's hot sauce would have been a lot more exciting than that blan rice cereal they keep trying to give me!"

Boy Time

"Mommy should have figured it out that I was missing Daddy lately. Last night he didn't get home until midnight - but I managed to keep myself going until then so I could greet him home. Daddy got to stay home all day today since he had such a long day at work yesterday. We had some nice quality time together. Mommy even got to go to the gym for a much-needed step aerobics class while Daddy and I hung out. I got to show him how nicely I sit in Grandma's inflatable bathtub and play with my favorite farm set.

I also rode in Big Truck for the first time when we went to drop off the car for repair. All the rockiness put me to sleep. See Grandpa - that darn truck's rough ride is good for something!"
"Daddy found a nest of 5 tiny bunnies in our landscaping. He brought Mommy and I to show us."

"We ended our Family Fun Friday with grilled kabobs! They sure looked yummy from my view!"

Meet-ups Are for Sleeping

Brandi & Olivia had the Mom's Group over this afternoon. The boys came in droves - with Olivia being the only girl at the party!

Olivia was such a happy hostess and let all the boys try out her Rainforest Jumperoo. Nicholas was quick to figure out the different layout of toys.

After all his playing at "Toys R Olivia's" Nicholas rested in her swing. He was one tired boy that afternoon.

Rain, Rain Go Away...

"With all the rain today, Mommy and I spent most of the day at home. You would think we were at Fashion Week in NYC with all the clothes she put on and off me all day! Mommy said she had to check the fit of my summer wardrobe, but I think she just wanted to see my yummy thighs. Do you blame her?"

At the Car Wash...Yeah!

After a family shopping trip to Wegman's, Nicholas experienced his first trip to the car wash. He LOVED it! He watched Daddy move all around the car and even let out a few giggles with the bubble action. He's getting so observant!

Oh, Happy Baby!

Nicholas and Daddy rough-house together before dinner. Nicholas just loves pulling on Daddy's nose! Today has been the first time he's gone for Daddy's glasses.

Oh, Cranky Baby

Nicholas had his first lake experience today with a visit to Skaneateles. Hopefully he will grow to like feeling the wind in his hair before Grandpa gets his boat out! (FYI - this same face was also seen at dinnertime when Nicholas was offered rice cereal.)

Pull Out the Shorts - Spring Is Here!

With such beautiful weather (nearly 80 degrees), Nicholas finally got to show off his lushious baby skin!

We had a very nice visit with Grandma and Grandpa in B'ville. We walked to the park down the street from Grandma's but were disappointed there wasn't a baby swing. Oh well, Grandpa better get busy designing a playset for Nicholas and Dillon!

Nicholas Surprises Mommy

"Saturday night I gave Mommy quite the surprise when she heard a crazy vibrating noise come from my stroller. She was too busy shopping - I had to do something to get her attention back on me.

Little did Mommy know I'm now strong enough to pull on my puppy's dangling feet to make a fun noise. Can you believe Mommy and Daddy didn't even know this toy did that until I figured it out! It's a good thing they have ME."

Put Me In The Zoo

Nicholas' first trip to the zoo!

He started off very happy and excited.

Even getting up close with the tiger.

Soon, all the excitement got the best of our little man. He slept for the second half of the zoo tour and for most of the car ride ....and....took an early evening nap once we got home!

Humm....did he learn something from all the animals who were sleeping at the zoo?

Oh What a Beautiful Day!

"It was a beautiful day today....so sunny we all needed our shades! Can you believe this is just 4 days after the Noreaster that snowed-in cousin Dillon on Monday!

After a long walk around the neighborhood with my garage sale scout Olivia, we met up with Olivia and Gavin for an afternoon cruise at the Parkway. (Oh yeah, and their Mommies Brandi and Meghan were there too.)

I found my sunglasses to be more exciting to have in my mouth than on my face!"

"Thank goodness my girlfriend Olivia kept her shades on to protect her beautiful eyes."

VRRROOOOOMMMMMM

"I finally got to check out Daddy's motorcycle today. Mommy insisted that it be turned off - we all know how Daddy loves to rev it up!"

Playing Hookie

"Rumor had it there was going to be a great garage sale at our neighbor's house (most importantly a house with 2 little kidos!). This sparked Mommy and I to skip yoga class and check out the neighbor's stash. It was well worth it - we got a backpack that I fit perfectly in!"

Nicholas seems to like the backpack. Would you agree?

We had a lot of fun playing at the Mom's Meeting today. Liam, our host baby, had great toys. Nicholas is ready for a round of Wack A Mole at Chuck E. Cheese's after practicing at Liam's.

"Daddy was dying to take his motorcycle out for a ride in the nice weather today. Mommy and I followed him over to our favorite pizza joint for dinner.

Look closely at the picture of Mommy and I and you'll notice her crumbs in my hair!

I'm still waiting for my first experience of sitting on Daddy's bike. I was conked-out when we got home, so I'll have to wait until next time!"

A Day Out and About!

"Today Mommy and I went all over town. We started at Great North Mall for our Stroller Fit class first thing this morning. As usual, I caught up on some shut-eye whenever we were moving, but when the class slowed down, I surely popped open my eyes to check things out!

We then spent the afternoon with Great Papa. We brought a bunch of my toys so I could show Papa how well I'm sitting up now. He was surely impressed!

We ended our wonderful day with a nice walk with Daddy and Zoey around the neighborhood. "

Fun With Cousin Dillon!

"Monday night we had a great time at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Wouldn't you know, I'm the perfect fit for the Radio Flyer wagon! Dillon practiced walking as he pushed me all over the house."

"This is when he abandoned me for the stairs...but luckily, he came back and finished my ride!"

"Go Dillon!!! You're the BEST cousin a little guy could ask for!"

Here's A Talent 5 Month Old!

"Today I managed to get my arm through this ring teether and found a way to keep it in a convenient place for sucking on! All while never missing a beat of jumping in my Jumperoo!"
